Four Christmases

My movie choice of this week was "Four Christmases". This film was really fun to watch and you should rent this movie because you will enjoy the comedy, drama, and romance. This film is about a couple name Brad (Vince Vaughn) and Kate (Reese Witherspoon) who come from a family of divorces. Not only they don’t want to get married out of fear of becoming like their dysfunctional folks, but they avoid them for the holidays. Brad and Kate accomplish that by lying to their families telling them they are doing charity work in foreign countries, but when their flight to Fiji is cancel they are interview by a news station on TV. After being seen on TV by their families they are forced to spend Christmas with not just one family but all four of them. Now that I told you a bit about the plot let me explain why you will enjoy this film.

"Four Christmases" was actually pretty funny. I caught myself laughing on the very first scene which was a really good sign. One of my favorite funny scenes was when Brad gets the snot kicked out of him by both his brothers and nephews and one of the nephews says "Google me bitch". Also the secrets each one of them had carefully kept from each other are quite funny. Another reason why I found this film pretty funny it’s because I’m a big fan of Vince Vaughn who I believe is a very funny actor. This film is rated: PG-13 for some sexual humor and language but other than that it is a perfect family film which you decide if the little ones get to watch.

I really thought the drama in this film was really good. Can you imagine meeting your lover’s family for the first time and not knowing what to expect. Well on this movie you get to see all the drama between the families and why Brad and Kate avoided their families in the first place. I also enjoy the romance in this film because after all the drama you come to realize what is important in life and what matters to you the most. Another reason why romance was one of my favorite parts of this movie is because at the beginning of this film my girlfriend and I were arguing but by the end of this film somehow we ended up Snuggling. I guess we too also came to realize what matters to us both. In conclusion I rate this movie a 5 out of 5 since I enjoyed the comedy, drama, and especially the romance.
